S4C acquires Rugby World Cup rights

Welsh public-service television channel S4C has acquired rights for the 2015 Rugby World Cup national rugby union team tournament.

S4C will broadcast live coverage of nine matches, including all of the Welsh national team’s games throughout the tournament.

S4C will also broadcast live one quarter-final match, one semi-final game, the third-place bronze match and the final.

In addition to live coverage, matches will be made available on-demand via the channel’s s4c.cymru/clic online-on-demand service.

Highlights of matches will be streamed via various S4C platforms while S4C will also broadcast a number of analysis and magazine programmes throughout the tournament.
