Turkish media-rights agency Saran Media has acquired exclusive rights in the country to the upcoming heavyweight boxing rematch between Anthony Joshua and Andy Ruiz Jr.
The fight, which will take place in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia on December 7, will be streamed live on Saran’s S Sport Plus OTT platform.
The S Sport pay-television channel launched two years ago as a home for football’s English Premier League, the NBA basketball competition, Formula One motor-racing series, UFC mixed martial arts and ATP 500 men’s tennis action, as well as the MotoGP motorcycling series.
Joshua will be fighting to reclaim the IBF, WBA, WBO and IBO heavyweight titles from Ruiz Jr., who won the first fight between the pair at New York’s Madison Square Garden back in June.
Eleven Sports, the international sports broadcaster, this week acquired exclusive rights in Belgium, Portugal and Taiwan to the fight. Other rights deals have been struck with Fight Sports in Africa, Nordic Entertainment Group (Nent) in the Nordic region and RMC Sport in France.
