SBS agrees ESPN deal for US Open rights

Australian public-service broadcaster SBS has agreed a deal for rights to the 2017 edition of grand slam tennis tournament the US Open.

Agreed in partnership with pay-television rights-holder, sports broadcaster ESPN, SBS’s coverage will commence with the quarter finals on September 6-7.

SBS will also cover the women’s and men’s semi-finals on September 8-9 before broadcasting the respective singles finals on September 10-11.

Matches will be broadcast on SBS and SBS HD, as well as streamed live online.
