SBS picks up more Norway national team rights

Pan-Nordic basic-tier and pay-television broadcaster SBS Discovery Media has acquired rights for all friendly matches featuring the Norway national football team.

The deal will run for four years, from 2014 to 2017.

The agreement does not include Norway v Russia on May 31, which will be shown by Norwegian basic-tier and pay-television broadcaster TV2, which has been dislodged by SBS as the long-term broadcaster of Norway national team matches.

SBS, which struck the deal with the Norwegian football association, already has rights for all qualifiers featuring Norway ahead of Uefa Euro 2016 and the 2018 Fifa World Cup.

SBS will exploit the rights on the TV Norge basic-tier channel and the Max pay-television channel.
