Pay-television broadcaster Setanta Sports Eurasia has launched a channel in Kazakhstan dedicated to the English Premier League after acquiring rights to the club football competition in the country.
The Broadband TV News website said Setanta Sports has become the exclusive rights-holder of the Premier League in Kazakhstan under a three-season deal running from 2016-17 to 2018-19.
Setanta Sports Kazakhstan, a dedicated Premier League channel, launched on Friday and will broadcast up to six live games a week.
Setanta Sports Kazakhstan becomes the third Setanta Sports Channel available in the market, joining Setanta Sports and Setanta Sports Plus, which offer European football in the shape of Spain’s LaLiga, Germany’s Bundesliga, Italy’s Serie A and France’s Ligue 1.
