Italian pay-television broadcaster Sky Italia has acquired rights to the EuroBasket 2015 men’s and women’s national team basketball competitions.
Sky signed the agreement with Fiba, basketball’s global governing body.
Sky Italia sport rights, programming and production director Matteo Mammi said: “Our offer has never been so wide in terms of sport disciplines. Basketball is already a core sport for our channels and no other team can generate more interest around the country than our national teams.”
EuroBasket 2015 will take place in France, Germany, Croatia and Latvia from September 5-20. EuroBasket Women 2015 will be played in Hungary and Romania from June 11-28.
