Sport 24 lands Ryder Cup rights

The Sport 24 in-flight and in-ship channel has acquired rights to this year’s Ryder Cup golf tournament.

Sport 24, which is produced and distributed by the IMG agency, will show live coverage of each day of the Ryder Cup. The event gets underway on September 30 at Hazeltine National Golf Club in the US state of Minnesota and concludes on October 2.

The channel will broadcast a total of 30 hours of live coverage of the event, which pits a team of US players against its European equivalent. Sport 24 will also show a seven-hour repeat of the final day’s action.

Team Europe heads into the tournament looking for a fourth successive victory over the US.
