Portuguese pay-television broadcaster Sport TV has acquired rights to the International Motorcycling Federation’s (FIM) Motocross World Championship (MXGP), as well as the Motocross of Nations event.
The three-year deal will run from 2018 to 2020 and also includes MXGP’s magazine programme.
Sport TV signed the contract with Youthstream, the global rights manager of MXGP.
Portugal hosts an annual round of MXGP in the city of Águeda. This year’s event will take place on April 15, with the 2018 season commencing on March 4 in Neuquén, Argentina.
