Portuguese pay-television sports broadcaster Sport TV will launch a new channel called Sport TV Live in August, according to the A Bola news website.
The channel will be available for between €10 ($13.30) and €15 per month – a lower subscription fee than Sport TV’s existing offering, the report said.
The new channel will show live coverage of games from the Portuguese top-tier Liga football competition as well as coverage of the top football divisions in Spain, England, Germany and Italy.
The Record newspaper said that Benfica TV, the basic-tier channel that is operated by Benfica, the most popular football club in Portugal, will become a premium pay-television channel on July 1. The price of subscribing to the channel is expected to be about €10 per month.
