German sports broadcaster Sport1 has launched a new hybrid broadcast broadband television service that will provide additional content to complement its television programming.
The new HbbTV service will be accessible via the red button on viewers’ remote controls, offering video clips across 10 categories.
Content will include clips from football competitions the German Bundesliga, Spanish LaLiga, Italian Serie A, French Ligue 1 and Uefa Europa League.
The service will be provided free of charge and will be backed by advertising.
