German sports broadcaster Sport1 has agreed a deal with SportA, the sports rights agency of public-service broadcasters ARD and ZDF, granting it online video highlights of the Uefa Euro 2016 national team football tournament.
Under the agreement, Sport1 will offer video highlights of all 51 games at Euro 2016 on a video-on-demand basis via Sport1.de and the Sport1 app.
The video clips will be freely provided and consist of official video highlights from European football’s governing body Uefa, to which Sport1 will add German commentary.
ARD and ZDF became the first European broadcasters to agree a rights deal for Euro 2016 through a contract signed in February 2012.
Germany will commence its Euro 2016 campaign against Ukraine on June 12 and has also been drawn alongside Poland and Northern Ireland in Group C.
