German commercial sports broadcaster Sport1 has acquired the exclusive rights to the European Handball Federation’s Men’s Euro 2014 national team competition in Germany.
Under a deal brokered by the EHF’s media and marketing partner, Infront Sports & Media, Sport1 will show at least 22 games from the competition live on free-to-air television, including the semi-finals and final.
Sport1 will also provide live streaming of the tournament on its official website, Sport1.de, and the Sport1 mobile app.
Aside from the live action, extensive news, background features and interview content will feature across Sport1’s platforms.
The Men’s Euro 2014 event takes place from January 12-26 in Denmark.
