German sports broadcaster Sport1 has acquired rights for the domestic men’s volleyball Bundesliga top division.
Sport1 will show live coverage of up to seven games during the 2017-18 regular season on free-to-air television in Austria, Germany and Switzerland.
The broadcaster already has rights for the top division of women’s volleyball in Germany.
The rights were acquired through a sublicensing deal with DOSB New Media, an entity operated by the German National Olympic Committee (DOSB), which operates the Sportdeutschland.tv online-streaming platform.
Sportdeutschland.tv will show live and on-demand coverage of the Bundesliga online.
Sport1 will show the games on Wednesday evenings.
