German sports broadcaster Sport1 has acquired rights for the Champions Hockey League, the new European ice hockey tournament.
The deal with the Sportsman Media Group will cover the inaugural 2014-15 season.
Sport1 will show 13 games on a live and exclusive basis on German free-to-air television, including the final on February 3.
Six German teams will participate in the league, which will kick off on August 22.
The Sportsman Media Group is responsible for distributing rights for the league on behalf of the Infront Sports & Media agency, the exclusive marketing partner of the league, in Germany, Austria and Swizerland.
