Italian digital sports channel Sportitalia acquired exclusive rights for the Italian men’s national basketball team’s home matches in a two-year deal with the Federazione Italiana Pallacanestro, the Italian basketball federation, from 2012 to 2013.
The deal includes rights to friendly matches and qualifiers for the 2013 European Championships, being held in Slovenia. Italy begins its qualification campaign for the European Championships with a home match against Portugal on August 15.
