Sports5, the sports arm of commercial broadcaster TV5, has acquired rights in the Philippines for the Olympic Games.
The deal will cover the 2014 winter Games in Sochi, Russia, the 2016 summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and the 2014 summer youth Olympics in Nanjing, China.
Sports5 outbid Filipino commercial broadcaster ABS-CBN for the rights.
Sports5 struck the deal with the Dentsu agency, which is distributing rights on behalf of the International Olympic Committee in several territories across Asia.
