Swiss public-service broadcaster SRG and pay-television broadcaster Teleclub have acquired rights for the Champions Hockey League European club ice hockey competition.
The three-year deal, which was brokered by the Sportsman Media Group agency, will run from the inaugural 2014-15 season until 2016-17.
Teleclub will broadcast live coverage of all home and away games that involve a Swiss team until the quarter-final stage.
SRG will broadcast live coverage of all games with Swiss involvement from the semi-finals. Prior to this stage, SRG will cover the progress of all Swiss teams via summaries on its various sports shows on its SFR, RTS and RSI channels.
SRG will also produce all coverage of the Swiss teams’ home matches, as a host broadcaster.
The inaugural CHL season will begin on August 21.
