SportsTiger acquires PSL streaming rights in India

New Indian sports application SportsTiger acquired live streaming rights for the 2020 Pakistan Super League cricket tournament.

This year’s PSL began last Thursday, February 20 and runs until March 22. It is being broadcast live on television in India by pay-television channel DSport.

SportsTiger was launched this month by Indian fantasy sports platform MyTeam11. It joins a marketplace already occupied by fantasy sports platform Dream11’s FanCode app.

The press release announcing SportsTiger’s launch said it “features sports news in just 60 words, provides live match streaming, interactive scorecards, and eye-catching videos”. The application will cover sports including cricket, football and tennis.

Commenting on the PSL rights acquisition, SportsTiger’s co-founder Vinit Godhara said: “This is the beginning of what is going to be an exciting journey for us with the hope of making SportsTiger a one-stop destination for every sports aficionado in this country with more live action, news and live scores on the offering. Our constant effort is to provide more engaging and interesting content to sports lovers and this is just a start.”
