StarHub aces WTA Finals deal

Singaporean pay-television broadcaster StarHub has acquired rights for the Women’s Tennis Association Finals.

StarHub will make live coverage of the season-ending tournament available for free on its SuperSports Arena channel, according to the Straits Times newspaper.

The event, which will run from October 17-26, will take place in Singapore.

The deal with the Women’s Tennis Association includes coverage of other events on the tour, the report added.

The agreement covers television, mobile and tablet platforms.

This year’s WTA Finals marks the first of a five-year hosting deal between the WTA and Singapore.
