Surfing Australia teams up with Nine

Australian commercial broadcaster Nine has entered into a partnership with the Surfing Australia national governing body.

The two-year deal will run until 2019 and will result in a range of content being broadcast across free-to-air television and digital channels.

Under the agreement, Nine will broadcast 15 30-minute episodes from mySURF.tv, Surfing Australia’s online content hub. The shows will feature surf lifestyle and culture content from around Australia and abroad.

Nine will also air 12 monthly 30-minute shows called Surfing Australia TV, which will feature pieces on Surfing Australia programmes such as the Australian Boardriders Battle Series, Wahu Surfers Groms Comps and Subway Surf Series.

In addition, Nine will support Surfing Australia charity foundation programmes including the Surf for Life project and Solider On Surf Therapy initiative through community announcements on their free-to-air channels.
