Team Marketing looks to recruit senior commercial lead

Team Marketing, the Luzern-based agency that markets the broadcast, sponsorship and licensing rights to Uefa club competitions, is looking to recruit a senior commercial lead to sit within the media partnership management team.

Having recently established the commercial advisory division, Team has kicked off its recruitment for an executive with at least seven years of relevant experience.

The role, which reports to the head of media partnership management, will involve advising rights-holding broadcasters on how best to commercialise and extract maximum value from the rights while also adhering to the contractual rights and obligations.

The successful candidate will also be asked to develop and apply a “deep understanding of Uefa’s commercial programme for each of the partners” and “pioneer innovative activations and provide strategic guidance”.

Along with advising current broadcasters, the senior commercial lead will be involved in explaining Uefa’s commercial programme to new broadcast rights-holders and sponsors. The role also includes input to discussions related to the commercialisation of media rights to help “shape the commercial concept” for the future rights cycle.

Team is looking for a candidate who has “ideally” worked in a commercial role for a broadcaster and has “relevant revenue-creation experience”. A proven track record in selling broadcast rights, experience in digital and non-digital activities and the “appreciation of the key challenges at stake” for rights-holding broadcasters are also listed among the required criteria.
