Time Warner in new deal for WNBA basketball in Los Angeles

US cable-television operator Time Warner Cable agreed a multi-year deal with Women’s National Basketball Association team Los Angeles Sparks.

Time Warner Cable will show 12 Sparks games in 2012 on the regional SoCal 101 network, increasing to 25 games the following year to be shown on a new Los Angeles-based English and Spanish language network.

Independent regional network K-DOC TV will share coverage of the Sparks with Time Warner this season, showing 10 games.
