Time’s 120 Sports to go live on Wednesday

US media group Time will launch 120 Sports, a new all-digital sports network, on June 25, it was announced today.

First unveiled in February, the new live streaming service will provide game footage, analysis and social commentary of several sports for mobile, tablet and online platforms.

At launch, content partners will include 120 Sports equity investor Time as well as ice hockey’s NHL, basketball’s NBA, Major League Baseball’s MLB.com website, the Nascar motor-racing series and Campus Insiders – a joint venture between the IMG College division of the IMG agency and digital sports media company Silver Chalice.

The new platform will deliver video-driven, two-minute sports reports exclusively for online and mobile viewers. A free mobile app has been designed to enhance data features and social interaction.

The advertising-supported programming requires no subscription or authentication to access.
