TSN extends Australian Open rights until 2021

TSN, the Canadian sports broadcaster majority-owned by the Bell Media group, renewed its rights for the Australian Open tennis tournament in a 10-year deal, from 2012 to 2021, with Tennis Australia, the organiser of the season-opening Grand Slam tournament.

The deal begins with this year’s tournament, which started today. TSN will broadcast more than 130 hours of live programming per year from the tournament across its TSN and TSN2 channels, with live streaming and on-demand coverage also available online.

TSN’s sister channels, the French-language RDS and RDS2, will also show live coverage.

The deal also includes mobile rights.
