Spanish public-service broadcaster TVE has extended its rights partnership with the International Triathlon Union to continue covering its World Triathlon Series.
Under the agreement, TVE’s sports channel Teledeporte and the RTVE.es website will continue to offer live coverage and highlights of the series for its 2017 season, which commences in Abu Dhabi on March 3-4.
Spain has a strong presence in triathlon and Mario Mola (pictured) won four gold medals last season to ultimately claim the men’s world championship title. His compatriot Javier Gómez had claimed the title for the previous three seasons.
