Mediaset Spain, owner of Spanish commercial channels Telecinco and Cuatro, has acquired rights to the Uefa Europa League in a three-year deal from 2012-3 to 2014-15.
Mediaset acquired non-exclusive rights for the first-pick match each match week. Pay-television broadcaster Gol Televisión has also acquired non-exclusive rights for the match. Gol Televisión last week acquired exclusive rights for all other matches.
Mediaset will show its weekly live match on Cuatro, which will also show a weekly highlights programme.
Mobile and internet rights were included in the deal.
The deal was brokered by the Team Marketing agency.
