UFC secures major platform in MENA

The Abu Dhabi Media Company pay-television and free-to-air broadcaster has acquired rights in the Middle East and North Africa for the Ultimate Fighting Championship mixed martial arts series.

The deal will run for three years, from 2014 to 2016.

Abu Dhabi Media Company acting chief executive Saif Ghobash told the National newspaper that the coverage would be exclusive “to all countries in the Middle East.”

The coverage will be provided via the media company’s free-to-air and pay-television channels as well as online, mobile and IPTV platforms.

The broadcaster will show live coverage plus support programming and magazine programming.
