Ukrainian VOD platform lands European football rights

Ukrainian video-on-demand service Megogo has acquired rights to the German Bundesliga, French Ligue 1 and Italian Serie A club football competitions.

Megogo will air all nine matches from each round of Bundesliga fixtures, along with five games per week from Ligue 1. Details of its Serie A coverage were not revealed.

The lengths of the agreements were not disclosed.

The coverage will be accessible in the Live section of the Megogo service and will be available to ‘optimal’ and ‘maximal’ subscribers.

Megogo said it was the only media platform in Ukraine, including television channels, to have secured rights to the three competitions.
