Verizon strikes NWSL streaming deal

Telco Verizon has struck a deal with media company A+E Networks to show coverage of North America’s National Women’s Soccer League.

A+E’s programming will be available across Verizon’s various online and mobile platforms.

In February 2017, A+E became an equity investor in the NWSL in a deal that granted the company’s Lifetime channel rights for the league.

Lifetime, a general entertainment channel focused on women, became a sponsor and broadcast partner of the league for three years, from 2017 to 2019. The channel broadcasts the NWSL ‘game of the week’ every Saturday.
