Russian state broadcaster VGTRK has acquired the rights to the EuroBasket 2013 basketball competition, according to the Sports.ru website.
Under the terms of the deal, free-to-air channel Russia 2 will broadcast the tournament, which gets underway in Slovenia today.
Russia has been drawn alongside Finland, Greece, Italy, Sweden and Turkey in EuroBasket Group D and gets its campaign underway with a game against the Italians tonight.
