Viasat agrees deal for NBA rights

Viasat Sport East, the pay-television channel operated by Modern Times Group in Russia, CIS and Georgia, has acquired rights for content from North America’s National Basketball Association.

The deal, which initially covers the remainder of the 2012-13 season, covers up to five regular-season games per week, plus the NBA all-star match, eastern and western conference play-offs, and the NBA finals in June.

Viasat Sport East is available on Raduga TV, the satellite pay-television platform which is part-owned by MTG, the multi-territory commercial and pay-television broadcaster.
