Multi-territory commercial and pay-television broadcaster Modern Times Group this week launched a premium motorsports channel, Viasat Motor, in the Baltic region.
The channel will broadcast a wide range of motorsport content in both standard and high definition, including Formula One, MotoGP and Nascar. Viasat Motor SD will be available to Viasat Gold package subscribers in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, while Viasat HD subscribers will gain access to the high-definition service.
Formula One, MotoGP and Nascar were already available to Viasat subscribers but Viasat Motor will also offer new motorsport rights that were previously unavailable in the Baltic region. These will include Formula One’s feeder series GP2 and the Speedway World Championship.
