Willow TV takes control of Neo Broadcast America

Neo Broadcast America, a subsidiary of the Nimbus Communications agency’s Neo Sports Broadcast division, has been sold to North American cricket pay-television broadcaster Willow TV.

“We want to focus on the Indian subcontinent as it is the biggest market for us,” Neo Sports Broadcast chief operating officer Prasanna Krishnan said.

Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Neo Broadcast America owns and operates the cricket-dedicated Neo Prime pay-television channel in North America. The channel was rebranded as Neo Prime from Neo Cricket last year and has been available in North America since 2010.

The deal will expand the reach of Willow TV, which is currently only available on the DirecTV and Dish Network pay-television platforms, the report added.

Neo Prime is available on the Comcast, Dish Network, Optimum, Time Warner Cable and Cox Communications pay-television operators.
