Women’s Super League to receive live television coverage

UK pay-television broadcaster Sky has committed to live coverage of the second season of domestic women’s Twenty20 cricket competition the Super League.

The Super League received no live television coverage for its maiden 2016 campaign, but Sky Sports has said it will broadcast six double-headers featuring group-stage Super League games and matches from the men’s T20 Blast competition.

Sky Sports will also provide live television coverage of the Super League’s finals day, which is scheduled for September 1 at the County Ground in Hove.

Sky’s first Super League game will be the Southern Vipers against the Western Storm on August 10 – a re-match of last season’s final.
