World Flying Disc Federation hails CBS Sports Network deal

The World Flying Disc Federation has confirmed that US pay-television broadcaster CBS Sports Network will provide coverage of this year’s World Ultimate Championships.

The WFDF-organised event will take place at the University College London Sports Ground in London, England from June 18-25.

CBS Sports Network will air a two-hour programme twice on June 25. The programme will feature the mixed gender finals, highlights of the men’s and women’s finals and preliminary-round footage. The WFDF will also be live streaming over 20 games over the course of the week-long event.

Robert Rauch, WFDF president, said: “For WFDF, this is our most significant major network coverage to date reflecting the growth and recognition of the sport and it is a key element in our strategy to raise the profile of the sport as we continue our search for a global brand sponsor.”
