WWE signs Irish rights deal with Virgin Media

US wrestling promotion WWE will receive coverage through an Irish broadcast platform for the first time after agreeing a deal with Virgin Media, the telecoms operator, commercial and pay-television broadcaster.

Under the agreement, an edited one-hour version of the weekly Monday Night Raw show will be broadcast on Virgin Media Two. The programme will go out on Saturday mornings at 10.30am, with coverage to begin this weekend.
