Rupert Murdoch-owned media companies Fox International Channels and Star India have maintained their grip on the Wimbledon Championships, renewing deals in East Asia and the Indian subcontinent respectively.

Fox Sports Asia, the regional subsidiary of 21st Century Fox’s broadcast arm Fox International Channels, has agreed a six-year extension to its rights deal for the Wimbledon tennis championships across a host of Asian markets.

The All England Lawn Tennis Club has agreed a deal with social video platform Grabyo to show highlights of the 2014 Wimbledon championships via social networking services Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus.
