The value of Spanish football’s LaLiga in Turkey has fallen by more than 40 per cent in pay-television broadcaster D-Smart’s acquisition of exclusive multi-platform rights to the property. The deal was the direct result of the cancellation of LaLiga’s agreement with Digiturk earlier this season.

LaLiga, the governing body of the Spain’s top-two footballing tiers, has signed a three-season deal with Turkish pay-television broadcaster D-Smart following the cancellation of its contract with Digiturk.

Coverage of the 2018-19 season of the Liga ACB, the top division of basketball in Spain, will be available in 140 countries after the league distributed its rights in-house.
