The International Handball Federation told TV Sports Markets this week it agreed an eight-year global media-rights deal with the MP & Silva agency – rather than its usual four-year cycle – due to the long-term financial security it will provide.
The Pitch International agency secured a late rights deal in the critical German market for the 2015 men’s Handball World Championship at the end of December – the last major market where a deal was outstanding.
