Liga Profesionistă de Fotbal (LFP)

SuperLiga clubs have been told to improve stadium attendances and help increase television audiences in order to double the value of the uplift in their new domestic media rights deal.

The Liga Profesionistă de Fotbal, which operates top-tier Romanian football league Liga I, has confirmed a new domestic media-rights agreement with Romanian digital agency EAD, from 2019-20.

Growing co-operation in the Romanian broadcast market is likely to keep the value of the country’s top-tier football league flat in a forthcoming deal, TV Sports Markets understands.

The value of Uefa Champions League and Europa League rights will decline slightly in Romania from 2018-19 onward, with telco Telekom Romania, pay-television broadcaster Digi Sport and commercial broadcaster Look TV set to share coverage.
