Racing Victoria

Racing Victoria, the governing body for horse racing in the Australian state, has signed a five-year extension to its rights deal with free-to-air commercial broadcaster Seven

The new deal with Racing Victoria, the representative body of the state’s four racing clubs, covers domestic and international broadcast rights, plus digital rights.

Racing.com, the new free-to-air digital channel that will launch this Saturday with the backing of the Racing Victoria horseracing body and Australian commercial broadcaster Seven, will feature regular magazine programmes as well as live coverage.

The thoroughbred racing clubs of Victoria eschewed an immediately lucrative offer for their rights from Sky Racing in favour of launching a new channel with commercial broadcaster Seven.
