Turkish pay-television operator Digiturk has appointed Yousef Al-Obaidly as its new chief executive, following its recent takeover by beIN Media Group.
Last month, beIN Media Group completed the purchase of DP Acquisitions, the holding company of Digiturk.
Al-Obaidly, who is the current deputy chief executive of beIN Media Group, has been reassigned to the lead role at Digiturk and will oversee the broadcaster's transformation process.
Al-Obaidly will retain his current role with beIN Media Group. He will also act as vice chairman of the company's board.
Digiturk holds the rights to Turkish football’s Süper Lig until the end of the 2016-17 season.
