Vincent Bolloré has increased his stake in French media company Vivendi to more than 20 per cent.
Bolloré had previously held a 15-per-cent stake in Vivendi, which operates French pay-television broadcaster Canal Plus, a major sports broadcaster in the country.
By April 2017 Bolloré’s stake will have increased to about 29 per cent, taking into account new double-voting rights that have been granted to shareholders by French legislation.
Canal Plus broadcasts live domestic coverage of Ligue 1, the top division of football in France.
