Eurovision, the television producer operated by public-broadcaster consortium the European Broadcasting Union, has been awarded host broadcasting rights to the 2014 World Equestrian Games alongside EBU member France Télévisions.
Under the agreement with the organising committee, Normandie 2014, Eurovision’s wholly owned subsidiary Eurovision Production Coordination will collaborate with French public-service broadcaster France Télévisions to deliver all host broadcast services.
Responsibilities will include provision of the international signal, as well as creating news footage and highlights packages for rights-holders.
Under a separate agreement with the International Equestrian Federation, the EBU also has exclusive media rights to the 2014 World Equestrian Games in Europe.
The 2014 World Equestrian Games will be held in Normandy, France, from August 23 to September 7.
