Media company CSI Sports has reached a multi-year carriage agreement with Caribbean telecommunications company Digicel to launch its pay-television channel Fight Sports in the region.
The channel will be hosted by the Digicel Play service. Fight Sports recently launched in a number of Caribbean nations, including Jamaica.
“After years of syndicating our content in the region, we now look forward to establishing a comprehensive destination for our current and future Fight Sports fans,” CSI Sports co-chief executive Craig Miele said.
Fight Sports broadcasts championship boxing, kickboxing, martial arts and mixed martial arts events, as well as news, reality, documentary and original fight-related content.
Content includes the Mega Fights series, which features boxing legends from the past and present including Floyd Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao, Lennox Lewis, Oscar De La Hoya, Mike Tyson and Canelo Alvarez.
The channel continues to expand its global reach, with CSI Sports having earlier this year agreed carriage deals with French pay-television operator Bouygues Telecom and US telecommunications company Verizon.
