The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved the merger of Zee Entertainment Enterprises and Sony Pictures Networks, which will create a media giant in the country.
The CCI accepted the modifications proposed by the companies following last year's signing of definitive agreements to merge Zee “with and into” Sony, following three months of mutual due diligence.
