The Gaelic Athletic Association has entered into a partnership with News UK that will allow the newspaper publishing group to show clips of Gaelic football and hurling competitions governed by the GAA.
From this weekend, subscribers to the Sun, the Irish Sun, the Times and Sunday Times newspapers will be able to view highlights of GAA action. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Coverage includes highlights from 85 All-Ireland Championships matches and action from National Leagues. Highlights will be available via PC, smartphone or tablet.
Viewers in the US, Australia, New Zealand and Canada can also access coverage via the Irish Sun’s application.
News UK chief executive Mike Darcey said: “This increases the diversity of the unique sporting offer across our titles for both existing fans and newcomers to these great national sports.”
