Pan-European pay-television broadcaster Sky has today (Wednesday) confirmed the launch of its online streaming service, Now TV, in Ireland.
Sky customers will be given the choice of a range of passes for the contract-free service, including an Entertainment Month Pass, a Sky Cinema Month Pass and a Sky Sports Pass.
The latter will include exclusive coverage of the Gaelic Athletic Association’s All-Ireland Senior Championship. The pass will also feature 159 English Premier League football matches, including 3pm kick-off games shown exclusively in Ireland.
Additional content will include the British and Irish Lions rugby union team’s upcoming tour of New Zealand, the Formula One motor-racing series and golf’s four major tournaments.
Now TV’s sports package will be priced at €10 ($10.89) for a day pass, €15 for a week pass or €50 for a month pass.
Now TV launched in the UK in 2012.
