The Sport 24 in-flight and in-ship channel has secured a carriage deal with Mexican airline Aeromexico.
The deal covers Aeromexico’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircrafts, with the channel to be made available via in-built televisions and on passengers’ personal devices.
Aeromexico has partnered with the Panasonic Avionics division of Japanese electronics company Panasonic to carry the channel. Panasonic Avionics holds a technology supply partnership with Sport 24.
Aeromexico will begin rolling out the channel, which is produced and distributed by the IMG agency, later this month.
Sport 24’s rights portfolio includes the 2016 summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro; football’s English Premier League, German Bundesliga and Uefa Champions League; NFL American football; NBA basketball; tennis grand slams; golf’s four majors; the Formula One motor racing championship and the MotoGP motorcycling series.
