Production company Sunset+Vine has been appointed as the host broadcaster and distribution partner for the 2014-15 edition of the Volvo Ocean Race international sailing competition.
In addition to providing live coverage of the In-Port Series and Leg Starts, Sunset+Vine will also distribute all race programming and news footage on a global scale.
Production will be headed by the firm’s specialist sailing unit, Sunset+Vine|APP.
Coverage and footage will be enhanced at the 12th edition of the event, with each of the Volvo Ocean 65 boats taking part in the race being fitted with on-board filming, editing and satellite transmission equipment, while a 24-hour watch system will be in place at race headquarters in Alicante, Spain.
Sunset+Vine has served as the Volvo Ocean Race’s official television partner on two previous occasions in 2005-06 and 2008-09. It also produced the Olympic sailing events at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
